Everyone loves a good love story. But not as much as the internet loves a good shitshow. And it got one with Netflix’s bungled live reunion of hit dating series Love Is Blind

The streaming giant is still dipping its toes into live premieres, but their first foray — Chris Rock’s post-slap comeback special — seemed to go off without a hitch.

So when fans tuned in at 8 p.m. ET for the Love Is Blind reunion special, many were taken by surprise when they received error messages or arrived at a screen saying the livestream would be starting soon. But it didn’t.

Five, 10, 15, 20 minutes passed. And nothing.

The message eventually changed. “There’s an issue with the livestream. Hang tight! We’re trying to fix it as soon as possible.”

Folks were pissed. And they were gonna make sure the internet heard about it.

As we neared the half-hour mark, people began to face their inner demons.

AOC even got in on the action.

The bungled Love Is Blind live reunion special occurred on a very big night for television, as viewers were gearing up for Succession‘s follow-up to the previous week’s shocking occurrence and the premiere of HBO’s Barry

And in a perfect bit of cosmic justice, Netflix even caught an L from Blockbuster. It is, as they say, chef’s kiss. And as of the writing of this article, one full hour after the live reunion special was to premiere, fans are still waiting.
